Thinking Bigger: Applying Lessons from Large-Scale Industrial Modular Construction to Unlock New Levels of Volumetric Construction
12:45 pm
- Exploring how large-scale modular applications across oil and gas, water treatment, and energy infrastructure can challenge conventional approaches to volumetric construction and unlock greater efficiencies in building projects
- Understanding how construction, transportation and installation requirements must inform module design from the outset, particularly as module size and complexity increase
- Examining the critical role of detailed 3D modelling and multidisciplinary coordination in integrating complex equipment and systems within larger modules, eliminating the need for onsite adjustments
- Rethinking module design around equipment requirements, maintenance access and long-term functionality to maximize the potential of larger, more complex prefabricated systems
